We provide third party reviews of appraisals and studies performed for a variety of users. While lending institutions constitute the majority of our review clients, evaluations of studies performed in conjunction with litigation are becoming more commonplace.
Reviews are typically performed in order to arrive at an opinion of the adequacy and relevance of the data employed, the appropriateness of the appraisal methods and techniques used, the reasonableness and appropriateness of the analyses, opinions and conclusions in the report, and for compliance with federal appraisal regulations, USPAP, and clients policies. Particularly in litigation related areas, a review of the opposition’s report can be a very cost effective action, potentially relieving a client from the costs of commissioning their own complete study.
