Firm Background

Allgeier Company was formed in 1987 by C. Edward Allgeier, MAI, CCIM, who, while stepping down from day to day operations in 2011, retains an active hand as a valued team member. It has grown into one of the largest and most experienced commercial appraisal firms in the region, with three of the four partners holding MAI designations from the Appraisal Institute, one appraiser holding the SRA designation and a total of ten staff appraisers at varying levels of expertise. Each of the four partners has from ten to thirty-five years experience in appraising commercial real estate.

Our areas of appraisal expertise include industrial, retail, office, multi-family, hotel/motel property types, condominium and fee ownership residential developments and many institutional and special use property types. Areas of specialty include mines and minerals, net lease properties and affordable housing projects. In addition to real estate appraisals, we provide market studies, rent studies, litigation support, tax appeals and real estate consulting services. We also perform appraisal reviewers for many of our lending and legal clients.

As a company, we have worked very hard to build a reputation for a reliable, high quality work product. We currently maintain permanent licensure in eight states and, through temporary certification, are able to work nationwide.  Recent assignments have ranged from California and Washington states to Florida and New York.

All work performed is in conformity with and subject to the Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice of the Appraisal Institute, with all designated members on Allgeier Company staff currently certified under the continuing education program.
